Baltic telecoms operator Bite has announced that group CEO Fred Hrenchuk will resume the role of head of its Lithuanian unit.
Hrenchuk, who also heads the Latvian unit, replaces Chris Robbins as CEO of Bite Lithuania.
Hrenchuk headed both the Latvian and Lithuanian units until May 2012, when Robbins became CEO of the latter.
Robbins informed the company of his decision to resign from the post in late summer, Bite said in its statement.
Commenting on returning as CEO of Bite Lithuania, Hrenchuk noted that he has remained involved with the company and its decision-making so will be well-placed to help it continue with its strategy to strengthen its position in the market.
Owned by private investment firm Mid Europa Partners, Bite has had a formal partnership with Vodafone since 2003.
Bite is Lithuania’s smallest mobile operator behind TeliaSonera’s Omnitel and Tele2’s local unit.
