Oger Telecom is hoping to increase its stake in Turk Telecom when the government further dilutes its ownership of the company.
According to a report in Haber Turk newspaper Saudi Oger, which already owns 55% of Turk Telecom, is willing to pay a 20% premium for additional shares. The government is understood to be planning to list around 15-20% of Turk Telecom at some point this year and the latest news suggests that Oger would be willing to pay over US$2.5bn for a further 20% stake.
